Position Focus:
In concert with GEPN Faculty and Chair of Acute Care/Health Systems Division, the GEPN Program Manager will provide administration for the GEPN program, faculty and students. Assumes an active role in assuring that GEPN is compliant with all objectives and regulatory requirements. Takes ownership over the program operations and outcomes, including monitoring and studying outcomes (such as student performance evaluations, ensuring effective execution of program evaluation, competency threads across GEPN coursework). Identify and institute solutions to problems.

1. Collaborate with program specialty coordinator on program design, GEPN program management, communication of policies and processes to ensure the program achieves curricular outcomes, meets institutional mandates and accreditation requirements (AACN essentials, NONPF).
2. Report on student participation in required educational assessments. Analyze and distribute data to relevant faculty and committees. Research, clarify, and obtain information as related to University policies and guidelines on educational requirements.
3. Analyze student data and make informed recommendations to Faculty Directors for curricular improvements based on feedback. Report concerns and contribute to resolution, tracking and providing documentation of issues to completion.
4. Identify, solicit and cultivate community partnerships and collaboration to assist in the development and growth of the program. Collaborate with other institutions to enhance interprofessional education.
5. Initiate, design and manage program communications to faculty and students promoting collaborative support of the program.
6. Maintain the program in the curriculum management system (E*Value) in accordance with accreditation standards. Identify and prioritize system-based modifications needed to meet educational program requirements.
7. Responsible for coordinating, establishing, evaluating and maintaining site placements with faculty for student clinical experience for all GEPN clinical courses including student assignments. Ensures appropriate, quality clinical experiences for students based on specified requirements and goals of GEPN program.
8. Develops collaborative relationships with existing site preceptors; Participates with faculty in clinical scheduling, clinical contacts and site visits. Provides consultation and recommendation on selection of sites and contractual implications.
9. Conducts first level program reviews of all new incoming clinical contracts sent by clinical agencies; works closely with the Division Chair and the Office of General Counsel to coordinate the legal review of the documents.
10. In conjunction with GEPN faculty, coordinate preceptor hiring, including PTL hiring process, YSN budget oversight, completion of clinical site requirements, and distribution of appropriate course materials.
11. In collaboration with appropriate faculty, coordinate student simulation and observation schedules across the GEPN curriculum, including LCE.
12. Responsible for coordination of all clinical sites for inter-professional student clinical experiences (LCE).
13. Serves as principle source of information on GEPN policies and program activities. Composes substantive correspondence and written materials. Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external contacts.
14. Oversee, coordinate and/or complete applications and materials needed for grant submission.
15. Processes and monitors expenses and ensures adherence to budgetary guidelines.
16. Assesses redundancies and gaps in the curricula, ensuring curricular threads are embedded in each course, maintains curricular map.
17. Maintains primary responsibility for maintenance of GEPN calendar.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
