Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Infotainment Account Mgr will include:

Responsible for all aspects of the sales process and account management including market research, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, generating proposals, RFQ responses, and coordinating all program activities resulting in on-time product launch. Interfaces directly with the planning, purchasing and program management functions within the customer’s organization.
The Sales Account Manager works closely with GM and Tier 2's to ensure sales forecasts and budgets are achieved.
Main contact window for customer for sales related activities regarding automotive accessory business and automotive line business
Coordinates with internal departments to ensure on-time product launch
Attends all program management team meetings internally and/or at customer location
Works closely with customer to ensure sales forecasts and budgets are achieved, and provides management with appropriate countermeasures when necessary.
Create sales budget and sales forecast based on the sales activities
Resolve any customer invoicing or billing issues.
Manage the supplier scorecard by ensuring that all customer requirements are achieved resulting in 100% scores consistently.
Take early corrective action to resolve any shortfall in meeting customer requirements and achieving a 100% supplier scorecard score. Negotiate with customers to improve the supplier scorecard when a discrepancy occurs.
Manage “build-out” and “end of life” timing with customer and internally in order to make necessary production/inventory adjustments.
Perform market trend studies and competitor analysis specific to the OEM accessory business.
Identify new business opportunities within current customers, and work with management to develop customer proposals.
Identify new business opportunities with new customers and/or business channels and work with management to develop proposals and sales strategy.
Prepare quarterly presentations to identify key market trends and opportunities for quarterly customer meetings.
Manage the RFQ process, and ensure that accurate, complete quotations are submitted on time.
Participates in all regular sales related meetings and training with customers as required.
Attend port installation training events as required.
Swiftly coordinates countermeasure actions in the event of any quality, delivery or packaging events which fail to meet the customer’s requirement or specification.
Follow up on all quality issues, including root cause analysis and the on-time submission of corrective action reports.
Identify areas of improvement within the company and submit a Kaizen challenge each quarter.
Participate in all special event activities including coordinating, support and other duties as required.
Communicate and coordinate with Corporate Headquarters (Japan) and production facility as necessary for sales, planning and development activities.
Attend internal sales related meetings as required, including overseas conference call meetings after normal business hours as necessary.
Follow all quality procedures in order to maintain IATF 16949 compliance.

Job Requirements

As a Infotainment Account Mgr you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of five years of work experience, preferably in the automotive electronics, automotive OEM, or similar OEM industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Bilingual English/Japanese is preferred.
MATH ABILITY: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications (incl. MS Project) and familiar with Oracle EBS ERP or equivalent software.. Must be able to comprehend basic company interfacing systems.
