Come join our team as a Medical Health Specialist and help Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) realize a common mission by providing support services to the health team, as well as supporting screenings and children with health needs in the classroom environment. This is a non-benefitted, 35 hour per week position through the school year.

Required Education:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant credential.
Required Experience:
Experience providing medical care in a pediatric, clinical, community and/or school /childcare setting.
Knowledge:
-
Principles of typical and atypical child development.

Medication Administration in a classroom setting

Core competencies related to certified nursing assist care such as tube feeding, diabetic care, seizure first aid and following doctor and nurse orders.

Developmentally appropriate practices and child guidance techniques for birth to five year old children.

Child immunization schedule and the ability to identify child immunization compliance.

Pediatric sensory screenings for hearing and vision, to include reliable screening techniques and practices with OAE equipment for hearing and trained reliable LEA and PlusOptix vision screener.

Child growth patterns and accurate height and weight collection.
