Keypath Education is supporting Wilkes University's search for qualified online faculty for their Graduate Nursing Programs.
We are inviting applicants for an Advanced Pathophysiology Adjunct Faculty Position in the Passan School of Nursing Graduate Nursing Program. The purpose of the Nurse Practitioner program in the Passan School of Nursing at Wilkes University is to prepare Nurse Practitioners for providing direct patient care of health promotion, health protection, disease prevention, and treatment.
The successful candidate is responsible for teaching a Graduate Nursing Advanced Pathophysiology course online for Nurse Practitioner programs and has an excellent understanding of pathophysiology as it relates to disease processes and management.
Key duties include:
Teach online courses for Graduate Nursing, with emphasis on Nurse Practitioner program courses.
Provide subject matter expertise to support the Nurse Practitioner programs, ensuring that industry standards are embedded in courses and that student learning outcomes are achieved.
Apply PSON graduate nursing policies in the online classroom as outlined during orientation.
Support student learning and development through academic rigor, coaching, and mentoring efforts.
Provide prompt and meaningful feedback to students as per PSON academic policy in a fair, objective, and consistent manner, using established rubrics and clear grading criteria.
Submit assignment and course grades by imparted timelines.
Complete the required online faculty orientation prior to teaching.
Collaborate effectively with graduate nursing faculty and staff in the PSON for ensuring quality course and program outcomes.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethics of the academic process in the online classroom.
Unencumbered RN and CRNP licenses in state of residence
Master's degree in nursing required; PhD in nursing or DNP degree preferred
Board-certified NP or CNS with 2 years minimum experience in clinical practice
A minimum of 1 year of successful online teaching experience for an accredited university, preferably in nursing at the graduate level
Proven ability to engage students in active learning to meet required course and program outcomes
Experience with learning management systems (LMSs); D2L / Brightspace preferred
