Position Summary

The Operations & Installation Manager is a supervisory position. Responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating activities including production output order requirements delivery operations business plans and field installations. The manager participates in the overall strategic design and direction of warehousing operations facilities expansions and installations. The manager ensures training of employees setting of performance goals organization of work and maintenance of a productive and motivational climate. There are currently 4 direct reports into this position.

Organizational Relationship

This position will report to the Director – Builder Sales & Operations.


Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations and good housekeeping practices
Manage/supervise operations and the installations team
Communicate departmental and company goals to operations and installations team
Oversee and participate in daily operations leading problem-solving sessions
Establish operational procedures for activities such as but not limited to verification of incoming and outgoing shipments handling and disposition of materials keeping warehouse inventory current and product installations
Monitor operational efficiency utilizing available resources
Manage hiring training and disciplining employees
Oversee daily order entry and associated customer service functions
Travel as business needs require

Characteristics & Attributes

Working knowledge of computers Microsoft Office suite software (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) databases and general office equipment
Ability to read in the English language
Ability to read and apply safety information and manufacturing data
Ability to record required data and leave effective information for personnel within department and in other departments in the operation
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as profits and losses sums differences products quotients percentage area circumference and volume
Ability to maintain accounting records for the department
Ability to solve problems where situations may vary within industry standardized procedures
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or scheduling forms
Ability to communicate with local and company-wide operations team
Ability to manage staff with varied responsibilities and duties in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience

Minimum education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and/or professional certification or equivalent experience
5+ years related employment experience
Progressive supervisory experience is preferred
