Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and triaxle dump trucks. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery, ensuring all equipment is running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and triaxle dump trucks.
- Read and interpret mechanical schematics and technical drawings to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Determine repair parts needed for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Research, price out, and order parts in coordination with suppliers and vendors.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on machinery.
- Document all repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (required).
- Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Experience in identifying necessary repair parts and coordinating procurement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL and Hoisting License a plus
