Across technology, we design, develop, and support multiple websites, mobile applications, and systems used virtually anywhere, including our 350+ physical stores. The systems we develop must work in synergy to deliver products and services to customers when and where they want them. The initial opportunity for the role will be to work with our Product Management team to develop the store lab program. These store lab environments will host multiple technologies from the legacy point of sale systems to the exciting new cutting-edge technologies we are exploring.

Responsibilities
Work with IT partners and business teams to identify opportunities and create solutions for testing environments that achieve desired business results
Identify customers of the lab environments and develop a plan for engagement
Create a plan and design a process for intake of lab work requests
Communicate and report on all lab activities, hardware statuses, general availability and deployed code versions to all lab environments and components
Proactively work with stakeholders to create a long-term services roadmap for lab environments
Innovate: challenge convention and contribute new ideas about the lab program and operations
Coach and mentor engineers in new technologies, solutions and best practices; challenge others to make space for idea-sharing across disciplines
Perform automation, design and implementation functions for retail store technologies within lab environment domain
Use data to drive decision making
This position may be required to perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum 6+ years’ experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering and or project management within a complex organization including design, development, and implementation experience
Familiarity with standard software development lifecycles and systems testing methodologies
Previous experience contributing to the design or operational function of technology lab environments
Previous experience working in an environment with distributed ecosystems
Demonstrated Technology Leadership in a large organization: Experience in design and deployment of technology solutions, creating strategies and/or solutions which leverage new technologies and processes
Ability to understand and influence complex system architectures
Desired areas of specialization: Infrastructures, hardware, and devices, web services, microservices, mobile, distributed ecosystems
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating environments
Familiarity with mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related field experience
