Working in the firm's Actuarial Practice providing administration and processing for client defined benefit plans:

  • Technical support on pension and retiree health plan valuations
  • Maintain and screen actuarial valuation databases
  • Perform benefit calculations
  • Prepare government filings
  • Assist with defined benefit related studies and projects
  • Participate in communicating with clients
  • Responsible for achieving annual individual billing goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior actuaries

Core Competencies:

  • Experience in pension actuarial valuations, benefit calculations and defined benefit plan administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and use of required processing software/systems
  • Capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines with the highest degree of accuracy
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also exhibiting a strong team approach to managing and developing relationships
  • Work with a positive attitude and is a positive influence on others

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, accounting or other related field
  • At least one passed Society of Actuaries exam highly preferred
