The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
Position is in support of the U.S. Army CCDC C5ISR Center Sustaining Base Network Assurance Branch (SBNAB). Program objective is to address today's cyber threats by designing and deploying game-changing cyber defense capabilities that allow organizations to defend better, react faster, coordinate rapidly, prioritize efforts, and respond smarter to security events, increased risks, and/or operational directives.
The Senior Software Developer provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modiﬁcation of computerbased scientiﬁc, technical, and business software systems. Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software. May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, conﬁguration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling. Works with users to deﬁne existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. Plans and schedules new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identiﬁcation of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements. Performs tasks necessary to ensure the identiﬁcation and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques. Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. Conﬁrms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and veriﬁes implementation. May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a speciﬁc project.
The Senior Software Developer provides SME software engineering support, providing real time, critical enterprise and administrative systems support for IT sensors and communication systems. Primary duties include software development, system requirements analysis, design support, test support, and operational analysis. Provides oversight, supervision and task assignments for other personnel on all efforts. Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry. Expert ability to conduct multi-task and change operations without loss of efﬁciency
1. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 years of experience or a Master's with 8 years of experience.
2. Requires active TS/SCI clearance.
3. Requires current Information Assurance Technical (IAT)-II or higher certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH) and current Computing Environment certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
4. Requires experience working in a Linux environment.
