The Cyber Security Engineer (mid-level) will support PdM WESS/Wideband Control at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is that of a team member in a fast-paced office environment.
Work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers and representatives, draftsmen and design/manufacturing engineers in a concurrent engineering environment.
Conduct Configuration Management planning and describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Develops documentation for CM planning and activities.
Identify and maintain the original and subsequent configuration versions of requirements documentation, design documentation, and network/software/other related documentation.
Identifies and defines hardware and software configuration procedures, version control process, and policies and procedures to ensure they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
Develop and administer configuration management plans, prepare for and conduct configuration audits and site survey.
Assist with defining, documenting, and maintaining the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
Interact daily with site government and contractor personnel.
Experience with computer-aided drawing/drafting applications e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD 2016.
Experience with facility level drawings as they relate to floor space, rack space, elevation, power, HVAC requirements, physical interconnects, cabling to systems, etc.
Familiar with site operations, processes, procedures as they pertain to integration of new systems and enhancements.
Familiar with military communications equipment.
Minimum DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 1 Certification (CAP, GSLC, or Security+ CE)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Engineering Management, or equivalent is desired. (5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education).
Active DoD Secret is required
Some CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
