Full Job Description
As a Corporate Trainer at Lakeland Bank you will be responsible for conducting education classes for new employees including: on-the-job training, computer and software, customer service, sales techniques, and compliance training. The ideal candidate will have a background in both banking and training.
Conducts employee education classes
Formulates teaching outlines and determines best instructional methods: individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, and workshops
Selects or develops teaching aids: training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time
Participates in needs analysis studies to determine training needs within organization. This duty is performed monthly, about 5% of the time
Collaborates with business partners to gain subject matter knowledge and understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies
Reports on progress of employee education compliance during training periods.
Revises curriculum and methods to improvement effectiveness.
High school diploma, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in banking
12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a friendly, personable and professional demeanor
Ability to effectively present information in a clear concise manner
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to manage prioritizes
Strong team player, able to effectively collaborate with people at different levels
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization
Critical thinking skills; ability to deal with problems involving a few known variables in situations of a routine nature
Proficient in Microsoft office; PowerPoint, Word, Excel
