Rí Rá (which roughly translated means “King of Good Times”) has been a labor of love for Ciaran Sheehan and David Kelly, two childhood friends from Ireland, since they emigrated to the USA in the 1990’s. The duo’s mission was to create a gathering place like those pubs that they knew so well from their home towns in Ireland. Such a place would have authentic Irish interiors, would be welcoming to all and would act as a “social hub” for the local community. In other-words a “Real Irish Local”. The first Rí Rá opened in Charlotte, NC in March 1997, and the lads never looked back. Today, with Ciaran and David still at the helm, The Rí Rá Group of Companies has become a successful and growing business that has multiple locally focused pubs across the United States and Ireland, including Rí Rá Irish Pubs, Keagan’s Irish Pub and Taphouse.

The Rí Rá Group of Companies provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. In addition to federal law requirements, The Rí Rá Group of Companies complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every pub location. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
