About the Opportunity:
Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is seeking a full time Splunk Engineer to support enterprise-scale web application and support activities for Federal project.
The candidate will work as a Splunk Developer to provide operational support for day-to-day activities of an Enterprise Splunk environment (~50 Splunk servers, ~1000 forwarders, ~200 network devices) consisting of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk IT Service Intelligence. The Splunk Developer will be responsible for working with the customer to perform requirements gathering sessions to develop the scope and design of new and existing dashboards, alerts, reports, and data sources. The Splunk Developer will translate the requirements into a working model and present it to the customer taking feedback for improvement. The Splunk Developer will be responsible for working with the customers Splunk administrators to deploy their solution making it available for all users.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience working with a multi-site clustering architecture
Experience working with multiple search head clusters for Splunk ITSI
Experience writing complex SPL queries for dashboards, reports, and apps.
Experience developing custom apps and add-ons for end users and data ingestion.
Experience with deploying Splunk and third-party Apps and Add-Ons.
Understanding of Agile project management
Education and Years of Experience:
Two plus years' experience with Splunk Enterprise
Two plus years' experience with Splunk ITSI
Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin (v6.x or v7.x)
Strong regular expression knowledge
Linux administration (Red Hat Enterprise v7)
Windows administration (Windows Server 2012R2, Windows Server 2016)
Active Directory and LDA
Familiarity with: JSON, XML, Azure Cloud, DevOps CI/CD concepts, Git, Linux shell scripting, ASP.NET, Microsoft Network Infrastructure, Microsoft SQL Server, SSL/TLS protocols and communication,
Infrastructure Architecture including Networking, Atlassian DevOps tools suite: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Stash, VMware, Tenable, Splunk Machine Learning, REST API
Splunk Certified Developer (v6.x or v7.x), Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect I or II (v6.x or v7.x), Splunk IT Service Intelligence Certified Admin; Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin
Splunk Advanced Dashboarding and Visualizations, Splunk Building Splunk Apps, Developing with Splunk's REST API
