Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the assigned team in developing various logistics documents in accordance with the designated ACAT level, and directs the design of systems, and their associated subsystems, for supportability, and integrates the twelve logistics elements and related disciplines (i.e., configuration management, reliability, maintainability, and environmental, safety and health).
Other duties include support of acquisition documentation/plans, system integration, risk assessment, systems modifications, testing activities, and program planning.
Support various requirements related to the development and execution of budget/funding initiatives, acquisition and logistics support and will be required to draft presentations/briefs for presentation to various audiences, support Integrated Product Groups, Independent Logistics Assessments and Milestone Decisions meetings, and coordinate with various Government and support contractor representatives.
Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors; determines contingency requirements and solutions.
May design and conduct research or technical studies to support acquisition logistic functions.
Provide leadership and mentor lower level employees.
Ability to work independently and present program logistics plans in accordance with program schedules is key.
- Must have the ability to travel up to 10%.
- Either twelve (12) years’ experience (with a Bachelor's Degree), fifteen (15) years’ (with an Associate's Degree), or seventeen (17) years’ (with a High School Diploma).
- Experience must include at least five (5) years with three (3) of the following types of support:
o Logistics Planning
o Program Submissions
o Acquisitions Logistics
o Resource Requirement Development
o Base Operations (BASOPS) Support
o Equipment Fielding
o Force Management/Development
o Authorization Document Development
o Resource Programming
o Qualitative Analysis and Project Management
o Development and Analysis of Logistics Plans
- Knowledge of government/USMC procedures and policies in support of acquisition, logistics, product support management, and fielding activities is desired.
- Knowledge or experience utilizing USMC authoritative acquisition and supply support systems (e.g. GCSS-MC, TLCM-OST, TFSMS, etc)
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
- DAU (or equivalent) Logistics Level I or higher certification is preferred.
