Role Overview:

Client Operations Associates are an integral support for Financial Planning and Credent Direct clients as they will interact with these clients daily to execute account paperwork, financial reports, and maintain ongoing communication to deliver a client relationship beyond expectations.

This role will also perform fund transactions, assist clients with accessibility to online client systems, and provide overall support to the advisory team through document preparations, proposals, risk management reviews, and troubleshooting system business processes.

The work schedule for all offices is Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, but this role may assist clients and coworkers from every office in Indiana, Texas, and Michigan as well. The team is looking for a person with a high regard for positive client relationship development, and a need to ensure all compliance steps are completed.


  • Onboard, maintain, and transition Direct and Financial Planning client relationships through communications with the clients and the office locations in regard to account status
  • Create, transfer, and update client households and accounts in CRM and finance systems, including beneficiary, addresses and contacts, new and transitioning account information, and financial life events
  • Understand and continually improve a thorough knowledge of all account types, regulatory compliance, basic trade instructions, account settlements and holdings
  • Assist Client Care Coordinator (CCC) role when necessary, answering and routing phone calls to team members, and providing scheduling support for the office
  • Prepare, hosts, and attends assorted web conference calls and other office meetings about new business processes, systems use, on-boarding/off-boarding updates, etc
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves complex questions and challenges by clients and system tools
  • Travel a few weeks throughout the year between office locations as necessary for training, and to support mass account on-boarding through business growth and acquisition
  • Utilize multiple financial and CRM software programs at any given point in time
  • Remain knowledgeable in the policies and regulations of the regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all work activities
  • Work with all other team members in a way that is conducive with the mission, values, and beliefs of the company to provide customer service beyond expectations
  • Comply with company-wide policies and SEC/FINRA regulations

Education & KSAs

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1+ year in Financial, Banking, or Accounting
  • 1+ year in Client Relations or Customer Service
  • Progressive analytical knowledge, client service, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • General understanding of account types (Roth, IRA, NQ, Trust, TODs, etc)
  • Self-driven, independent, adaptable, detail-orientated, and creative problem-solving
  • Highly detailed, accurate, organized, and able to think to beyond the current process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of different business and finance software
