The Project Engineer provides administrative oversight of project metrics field personnel scheduling, assignments and associated labor requirements. The Project Engineer is responsible for preparing and maintaining project documents and logs and providing technical support to Project Managers and field personnel. During the project and closeout provides project revisions and product implementation support to the technical team. The Project Engineer will also define the project’s objectives and ensure safety and quality control throughout its life cycle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides field and project engineering, shop drawing review, submittals, scheduling, and related support functions.
Manages shop drawings with cable ID’s and development of all project labeling.
Oversees test results management structure and final test result submittals.
Manages warranties and liaison with sales for registrations.
Coordinates and reviews as-build documentation including drawings, submissions, specifications, changes, and document control.
Assists with Inventory control, monitoring and tracking of equipment and resources.
Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics.
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
2-3 years’ experience in new commercial construction structured cabling design work including large data center projects.
Strong Auto CAD/Blue Beam experience.
Expert in Excel - assessment will be given.

Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
Demonstrated professional demeanor and communications with customers, field team, vendors, and management.
Large data center knowledge.
Documented designer skills.
CAD and Blue Beam experience.
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office – EXPERT in Excel.
Tactful and has professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others.
Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills
Strong attention to details
Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills.
Ability to identify and meet customers’ expectations and requirements.
Must be a self-starter and a problem solver.
Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confined spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
