The LOGISTICS & MISSION SUPPORT operation currently has an opening for a Field Installation Technician. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation and integration of Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) Navigational Aid (NAVAID) equipment. Current experience and expertise with NAVAIDs or network/communication equipment is required and with NAVAIDS equipment most desired. Responsibilities will consist of installation of the NAVAID shelters and communication gear, testing, customer signoff, clean up, preparation of reports and participation in telephone conferences as required. The position requires extended travel (up to 8-10 weeks at a time) in and out of a military airbase in Jordan.

THE CHALLENGE:
The scope of the work is to install instrument landing systems and distance measurement equipment on two runways. This installation will follow a previous installation technique where the shelters to be used will be shipped with most of the electronics and internal environmental control systems already installed to decrease the amount of time required for installation. Each shelter will have an associated antenna array (two 14-element localizer arrays and two three-element glideslope arrays to be mounted on 60-foot towers). Each shelter will have a primary and backup Cummins generator.
1) Install the generators on the pad and running to provide power for the shelters & our tools and to the ECUs. Next would be to position and bolt down the shelters. Site personnel will provide the forklifts, cranes, and operators.
2) Install the four sets of antenna arrays and glideslope towers.
3) Finally there is equipment (PC, laptop and RF Link comms gear) to install within the Tower that allow status & control of the ILS systems.
4) Most of the work will be terminating the connections of the comms gear, installing the generators, and installing the antenna arrays.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
High School diploma and 2+ years related experience. Military background a positive. Familiar with reading and using military technical orders.
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
NAVAIDs, network, and communications equipment experience, good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to quickly and independently solve issues in the field, and past experience with customer interaction. Cabling Experience. Technical military school training.
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00
