Summary: Family owned and operated boutique hotel in Hollywood Beach is seeking for the front desk agent to join the team. The ideal applicant should be honest, reliable and be able communicate in both English and Spanish. This employee will be responsible for providing extraordinary customer service at all times, by assisting potential and current guests on their questions and concerns. We are looking for a talented person, who will embrace our values and standards to ensure that every guest feels cared for, appreciated and respected. Immediate Hiring.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile and friendly demeanor
  • Perform all guest check-in and check-out procedures
  • Obtain or confirm guest information, assign rooms, activate and distribute keys, etc.
  • Collect payments for room charges and other fees
  • Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel, check and answer guest emails
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Effectively communicate and work well with other team members, including housekeeping, maintenance personnel and management
  • Provide local information on restaurants, special sites, activities, etc. to the guests
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner, or seek assistance from management if needed
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as needed
  • Remain flexible and willing to work in other areas of the hotel as needed to ensure the hotel delivers consistent and quality experiences for every guest

Qualifications and skills:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in both, English and Spanish

Skills:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision, responding to and handling unfamiliar situations with little supervisory guidance
  • Must work well under pressure and remain calm during stressful situations
  • Must be very organized and detail-oriented

Experience:

  • Previous experience in hospitality industry preferred but not required
  • 3 + years in customer service required

Requirements:

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be open to work on the weekends and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation
