The environmental equipment technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of environmental equipment, including cascade refrigeration thermal chambers, LN2 thermal chambers, humidity chambers, temperature altitude chambers, and shakers. The environmental equipment technician maintains inventories of spare parts, schedules for preventative maintenance, and records of service.

Responsibilities include:
Maintain spare part inventories for environmental equipment
Maintain schedule for preventative maintenance of environmental equipment
Maintain records of environmental equipment service
Install and setup new environmental equipment
Calibrate environmental equipment

Candidate must have 5 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing environmental equipment. Candidate must be able to:
Understand cascade refrigeration systems.
Understand circuit theory and read/trace circuit functions through wiring schematics.
Use and manipulate digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
Use computers and various software applications and database systems.
Work and communicate cooperatively and professionally with lab personnel/management.
Operate in a lab while observing safety precautions.
Work overtime/weekends when necessary.
Keep accurate detailed records.
