Murray Unitarian Universalist Church in Attleboro is seeking a part-time office administrator for 25 hours a week. The position will pay between $15 to $17 per hour, depending on experience and skill set.
Are you willing to learn new things and grow on the job? We are looking for a self-starter, able to manage and solve technical problems, as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is a must. Experience with the Chimp Mail e/mail marketing tool or the REALM database (or similar product) is a big plus. This job requires weekly financial data base entry, as well as experience with some graphic editing/desktop publishing tools to produce a weekly e/mail newsletter, Google docs to manage church calendar updates, as well as updating the church’s Facebook and Web presence. Familiarity with the Unitarian Universalism faith is also a big plus, but not required.
The role of the Office Administrator requires maturity, flexibility, sensitivity, creativity, and a sense of humor. Attention to detail, compassion in dealing with others, frequent interruptions, and ability to prioritize are all part of the job. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working alone as well as collaborating with staff and many volunteers. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and has at least 2 years of experience working in a non-profit or church office setting. Benefits include nine paid holidays and two weeks of paid vacation. After one year, a retirement benefit is offered of 10% of salary. Health insurance and other additional benefit options are negotiable.
