Provides administrative support to the Legal Recruiting Department in executing processes related to recruiting and hiring of lateral lawyers for the New York office, the summer associate program and the law school on-campus hiring season.
Assist recruiters in organizing logistics and attending recruiting receptions/outreach events, on campus events and summer program social events.
Input and continuously update candidate’s information into the legal recruiting database and ensure completion and accuracy of all essential information.
Generate and run various summary and pipeline reports as directed using the legal recruiting database.
Organize promotional materials needed for on-campus recruiting events and the interviewing materials utilized by on-campus interviewers.
Organize interview schedules for interviewing candidates and assembles interview materials for candidates.
Assist recruiters with lateral associate hiring including candidate tracking and communicating with search agencies.
Communicate information related to interviews to those internally involved in the process (including lawyer interviewers, travel department, legal recruiting staff, reception staff, and building security).
Greet candidates interviewing with the firm, when required.
Prepare and deliver appropriate correspondence to candidates regarding their employment status.
Assist recruiters with summer program planning initiatives and social activities.
Assist recruiters with diversity initiatives.
Legal Recruiting Department support may include:
Opening, sorting, distributing department mail
Processing check requests and paying invoices for department expenses
Process and track all travel reimbursement expenses from lateral and law student candidates
Arranging logistics for internal/external meetings including sending meeting appointments and preparing meeting materials such as agendas, reports, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of one year of administrative experience in a fast-paced, professional services industry is also preferred.
The position requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and applicant tracking software experience is a plus.
Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
Conscientious, well organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take appropriate initiative.

Normal office environment and schedule. This is a non-exempt position; candidate must be willing and able to handle overtime as needed especially during the busy on-campus season (July – September).
