NRP Investments, LLC is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner in the Cleveland, OH Office.
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing support for managers and employees, including providing objective advice regarding complex issues. The ideal candidate has experience with resolving employee relations issues, administration of performance management, creating, implementing, and administering policies and procedures, working with employees on various types of leave, in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
Essential Functions Statement(s):
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career
development, disciplinary actions)
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal
risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
Collaborates with leadership to identify and implement strategies that enhance the culture of the organization
Provides HR policy and benefit guidance and interpretation to managers and employees
Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, including preparation and maintenance
of the employee handbook
Interprets and manages all aspects of leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable company,
federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.)
Serves as the primary point of contact for work injuries. Ensures the workers’ compensation program is managed in
accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department
and services performed
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field required
Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in Human Resources field
Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge of HRIS systems
Other Requirements: Valid Driver's License
