In this role, you will provide therapeutic counseling via telehealth to Backpack’s pediatric and adolescent population. You will utilize your expertise to help deliver Backpack Healthcare’s Mission to: help save lives by delivering the highest quality of care to those who need it most, our children and families. Acuity levels and client/patient populations can vary. Final compensation is determined by scale based on years of relevant experience as well as advanced certifications.
Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling and support to our patient population. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Provide mental health counseling using evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and families to coordinate care for clients.
- Engage in clinical research to contribute to the development of best practices in mental health treatment.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and systems to effectively communicate within a hospital or clinical setting.
- Advocate for clients' needs and facilitate access to community resources and support services.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Complete a minimum of 12 sessions/week (when clients are most active)
- Current LICSW licensure in the state of Rhode Island
- Experience in mental health counseling, particularly with individuals having developmental disabilities or special education backgrounds.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and clinical research methodologies.
- Proficiency in managing medical records and familiarity with relevant systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
Compensation:
$50-$55.00/hour
