Brigante Immigration Law Group Inc. (BILG) is an immigration law firm representing federal immigration law clients in all 50 states. BILG has an opening for an in-office full-time immigration paralegal with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in family or humanitarian immigration. The paralegal will assist the firm’s attorneys in representation of clients in family and humanitarian-based immigration cases. BILG prides itself on exceptional work and happy clients. Responsibilities
- Review and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency (including VAWA/I-360, T-Visa, U-Visa, I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131).
- Communicate with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, while preparing and reviewing cases.
- Ensure clients are kept informed of any missing documents and the process of their cases before and after filing cases.
- Provide cases status reports regarding all assigned cases on a weekly basis to the Manager.
- Utilized case management system regularly to update case processing status and any client information.
- Assist Attorney with case preparation and be the point of contact between client and attorney.
- Complete case preparation in a timely manner.
- Prioritize and meet assigned deadlines, provide reports, communicate case progress/issues to manager on a weekly basis.
- Maintain both hardcopy and electronic client case files.
- Translate client documents.
- Assist with the supervision of the production team.
Qualification
- At least 5 years of Immigration Law Experience and at least 1 year of Humanitarian (VAWA/T-Visa) experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must.
- Immigration Case Management Experience preferred, but not required.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be a great team player.
Compensation:
· Base: $67,000 annually (depending on experience)
