The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the SDLC as part of Kayem’s implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. This individual will work closely with end users to document business and system requirements and create As-Is and To-Be BPMs of Kayem-specific business processes. They must have strong business to technology translation skills to be able to interpret stated requirements, perform fit gap analysis against a COTS solution and come up with the most ideal configurations to meet business needs. This individual will write business cases when recommending customizations and create design documents with screen mockups and detailed specifications for UI customizations, reports and integrations to other systems. The IT Business Analyst will author test plans, test scripts and training materials. They will be responsible for testing all configurations and customizations, documenting test results and working with developers to resolve bugs. The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for overseeing CRPs, training end users on new functionality, supporting Go Live efforts, and participating in post- go live activities including providing IT Help Desk support for end users and tracking defects & enhancement requests on Kayem’s SharePoint portal. This individual will be expected to perform tasks and drive them through to completion independently with minimal supervision. They will be expected to take full ownership of deliverables they are assigned to work on, becoming SMEs on both the business and the software, able to identify cross-functional impacts of requirements and design decisions. They should be results driven and highly analytical, with strong attention to detail, exceptional verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with IT Project Manager, IT Department Staff, Subject Matter Experts and end users across the organization to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, and other systems as needed
Elicit system requirements from SMEs, document requirements, perform fit gap analysis to identify areas for customization and maintain a traceability matrix throughout each phase of the project to ensure that all requirements are met
Work with the project implementation team to document system and user interface requirements, data requirements and report requirements
Create As-Is and To-Be BPMs using Visio
Create comprehensive design documentation including OOTB configurations, customizations and integrations to other systems
Write business cases and make presentations recommending system enhancements or other alternatives
Assist in the configuration of AX
Write test plans and test scripts; create test data, execute test scripts, document bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues
Work with all members of the project implementation team to ensure that the acceptance criteria are met and the software meets project objectives and Kayem’s expectations as defined by the internal business units
Play a primary role in CRP sessions, providing guidance and assistance to end users
Write training materials and train end users on AX
Play hands on role in Go Live efforts, jumping in and assisting the IT Project Manager, other IT department staff members and end users wherever needed
Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team
Provide regular updates to the IT Project Manager on status of assigned tasks
Assist IT Project Manager with implementation of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports
Run meetings independently; prepare meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes and action items
Help identify issues and risks on the project and work with the IT Project Manager to develop & implement mitigation strategies and resolutions
Assist IT Project Manager with tracking of project issues, action items and risks; documenting each one and its resolution
Assist in the evaluation of CUs and KBs for MS Dynamics AX; review new functionality and impacts to existing functionality, making recommendations on what to implement
Become a Subject Matter Expert, whose intersection of knowledge on both the business and the software make them a go-to person within the organization
Provide IT Help Desk support for AX end users, tracking defects and enhancement requests on Kayem’s SharePoint portal
Work with internal teams and end users to evaluate and select potential systems, develop and implement new systems or enhance existing systems.
Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external parties including SMEs, end users, stake holders, implementation partner and ISV partners
Work with various internal and external resources to resolve technical problems
Act as a liaison between Kayem team members and implementation partner
Act as an ambassador for AX to the organization, generating excitement around the benefits of the software to the end user, and helping to mitigate change management issues with each Go Live

Bachelors Degree and at least 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations. Must possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors and governmental agencies.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions, ratios, proportions and percentages.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must be proficient with Office and other MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint and Outlook. Snag It, or other screen mock-up / wireframe creation software skills are required. Must have general knowledge of and experience working with ERP applications. While Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is not required, it is strongly preferred. Candidates with AX 2012 R3 experience in advanced warehousing and manufacturing are encouraged to apply. Experience with SSRS Report design and creation, Atlas templates, Transform AP (TAP), VantagePoint EDI, Precision Forms, Arbela Security Manager (ASM), FullScope Catch Weight, NiceLabel, Print Suite Bridge and other ISV solutions desired. Must be able to perform research independently, utilizing appropriate online resources such as industry publications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to handle documents and operate a computer keyboard and telephone. While the job normally requires sitting at a desk, frequent walking to other areas of the building for meetings will be required, as well as occasional visits to the production and warehouse floors. Occasional travel to Kayem’s Woburn, MA facility will also be required.
