TITLE: House Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Nursing
REPORTS TO: Director, Nursing
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, the House Supervisor is responsible for the patient care activities on his/her designated shift. He/She consults with staff, physicians, and Chief Clinical Officer on nursing procedures and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. The House Supervisor must be able to manage the department and the provision of nursing service according to the Standards of Nursing Practice consistent with facility philosophy of care and state and federal laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing
3. Two years long term acute care and acute care experience is preferred
4. Critical care experience preferred
5. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
6. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
