Young Powertech, a growing company based in Garnet Valley, PA, has an immediate opening for an experienced Area Sales Manager for the South-Central Area. Young Powertech is a manufacturer and distributor of Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electric and Electronic components and complementary products used in industrial, construction, farming, marine, mining, applications. Our customer base consists of OEM manufacturers and distributors. The broad product line offering by the company provides a unique situation for the sales team to offer a solution based selling approach to customers. This combination of growth and broad product line to facilitate solution selling provides an opportunity for sales professionals to achieve exceptional sales success.

This position requires an experienced sales person who is a self-starter, highly motivated and committed to increasing sales. This position will be based out of the employee’s home office and the sales manager will be responsible for the Southwest area (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas). Travel away from home is estimated at 50% to 70% to visit customers in the area.

Specific experience, education, and skills required include:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales of commercial products to other businesses, ideally OEM’s. B to B selling experience is required. Experience selling hydraulic motors and pumps, mechanical gear boxes, wheel drives, etc., a plus.
  • Experience in acquiring new accounts and managing account relationships.
  • Track record of increasing sales.
  • Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic products, fluid power systems and applications.
  • Engineering or technical degree, preferred.
  • Effective time management skills. The ability to efficiently plan sales calls over a large territory to call on as many customers as possible in a given day.
  • Above average skills using a CRM system, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both internally with the organization as well as with a broad range of customer personalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a sales plan for an assigned territory as well as execute the agreed upon plan.
  • Good command of English grammar (both written and verbal) to present the company and its products in a highly professional manner.

Young Powertech offers a competitive base pay salary plus commission. A car allowance is provided. All travel expenses are paid. Medical insurance and 401(k) plan are also included in the overall package.
