The Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced technician to perform activities and field operations pertaining to roadway programs.
Work hours: Work hours 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday -Friday with a half hour lunch. Irregular work schedule while on overnight travel status M-W 7:00 to 5:30 Th 7:00 to 3:00. Extensive travel is required. Occasional overtime may be required.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position will lead a team to perform technical related work for multiple testing systems, including data collection and evaluation of equipment. This includes reviewing output from electronic instruments, conducting routine testing of pavement, analysis of data collected, scheduling of equipment used, and repairs of equipment. This position will be expected to adhere to the department's safety guidelines and assist in research activities to verify and implement work standards used.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Must meet PA residency requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1
One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
