Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis, manufacturing site engagement, and applied global supply chain and process knowledge. Quantify potential savings versus costs, prioritize opportunities, and champion implementation.
Lead six sigma black belt projects. Author charters, enroll team members, guide teams through DMAIC process, communicate status during project execution and document results. Mentor junior staff members to obtain green and/or black belts.
Perform root cause analysis in support of complaint and process investigations.
Author reports and presentations to communicate analysis results in language appropriate to target audiences. Report consumers vary but can include: quality managers, senior management, internal technical groups, and regulatory agencies.
Establish commercial data footprints for commercial and pipeline products. Anticipate potential sources of manufacturing and post market issues based on FMEAs, supply chain variability and process controls. Ensure critical data is available and linkable across geographically diverse manufacturing networks.
Work closely with product performance teams (PPTs) and BTS to build automated reporting systems that efficiently translate the raw data into consumable information. Serve as a bridge between these groups to translate business needs into IT language and to help stakeholders leverage emerging information technologies.
Degree in data science, engineering, statistics or discipline requiring proficiency acquiring and transforming raw data into information.
High comfort level with Microsoft office applications, data transformation, visualization and analysis tools. (experience with any of these tools a plus: Spotfire, visual basic, R, python, SAP reporting, MAT LAB, Pipeline Pilot, Simca-P, SQL)
Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (i.e., CFR 210/211, cGMP). Knowledge of the assigned business area's products and processes. Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts and analysis results in terms that are understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all management levels. Ability to be a team player; flexibly, friendly, congenial, and enthusiastic.
Strong written communication skills, including technical writing. Strong analytical and conceptual skills; a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans.
Ability to solve problems involving remote and elusive symptoms often spanning multiple environments in a business area.
Ability work in hierarchical and matrix organizations, ability to thrive in a somewhat unstructured hands-on environment that demands a consultative approach and solutions that span multiple environments and business areas.
Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
Four or more years of relevant business area experience in which one or more of the following occurred: Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with strong abilities in relationship management, experience with pharmaceutical or device manufacturing, analytical laboratory or post market product support, demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
