We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Web engineer to join the team working on building our next generation Payments Platform. The successful engineer will report into our Platform Development organization, which is responsble for building the foundation of our solutions. This role will focus on building user experiences that will be utilized by clients, staff and cardholders to perform relevant functions hosted on our platform. This role will interface directly with staff members of Product and Project Management, Quality Assurance, in addition to other members of the Engineering team and offers a significant potential to positively impact Issuer Processing’s future.
As a key member of the development team, the candidate should be comfortable building web applications with Microsoft technology. Additionally, the ability to drive technical ideas and communicate clearly with technical, as well as non-technical audiences, is essential to this role.
Analyze existing software for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement
Work with a diverse team of product owners, UX designers, and developers in a fast paced environment, with quick iterative cycles
Keep up to date with the latest trends in web engineering and introduce them into projects when appropriate
Evangelizing UI/UX front-end best practices and Accessibility for web
Fielding inquiries and requests for support from stakeholders
Work with Visa Issuer Processing leadership team to attract, build, and maintain an engaged team of engineering professionals across the globe.
Bachelor degree in CS, MIS, UX or equivalent experience
6+ years of experience required
Experience building web applications with Microsoft Technologies.
Experience building Web Applications that consume REST services (Required)
Experience building Single Page Applications (Preferred)
Experience with one server-side web application framework and language like Ruby/Rails, C#/ASP.Net, JS/NodeJS, etc. (Required)
Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principals involved in the production of conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and HTML Prototypes (Required)
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
