ROLE OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr Director, Human Resources will lead the HR organization for this fast-growing and rapidly changing organization.
Reporting to the CHRO, the Sr Director, HR will lead all aspects of human resources. He/she will be responsible for partnering effectively with the VP, Operations and the entire leadership team to develop the HR strategy, processes, and programs that are aligned with the company’s business plans and objectives with a strong focus on execution. He/she will be a hands-on leader who is willing to roll up his/her sleeves and be involved in the day to day execution. Specifically, the Sr Director, Human Resources will:
Serve as a key member of the leadership team to execute an aggressive transformation and growth strategy which includes significant change management. He/She will effectively balance the need for business partnership and employee advocacy while playing a key role in the transformation and change management efforts.
Ensure proper staffing levels by identifying, recruiting, integrating/onboarding, developing and retaining key talent across the company.
Ensure the company’s compensation and benefits philosophy and programs, performance management and other pivotal HR systems are aligned with culture and business objectives.
Be a strong advocate for and participant in creating a lean organization.
Lead the charge in building a highly engaged, motivated workforce with a strong reputation in the community as a great place to work.
Build and lead an effective and respected HR team that is business savvy, proactive, responsive, helpful, and anticipatory. The function should be viewed at all levels to be expert, confident, strategic, action-oriented, effective and vital to the organization’s success.

The Sr Director, Human Resources will be an exceptional leader with strong business acumen, strategic insight, sound judgment and proven, in-depth executive experience in human resources and business. He/she must be both strategic and hands-on with a track record of building and leading best-in-class HR functions. The individual we seek will also possess the following:
A track record of leading Human Resources for a growing standalone company or autonomous subsidiary or division.
Experience working within a manufacturing organization. Understanding the plant environment, able to connect with the workforce and understand the talent needs and requirements of this organization, including a proven ability to foster a collaborative climate.
The ability to build an HR process from scratch and/or significantly upgrade the function and company overall is required. This will include detailed reviews of talent development and acquisition, total rewards strategies, as well as successful leadership development success.
Experience in a “lean” operating environment and one focusing on a culture of continuous improvement, growth and rapid innovation.
Ability to serve as the VP, Operations’ confidant across all facets of human capital and business strategy. Must be willing to challenge management’s point-of-view when appropriate, offering alternative constructive suggestions.
Have a track record of significant change management, including helping transform and/or purposefully build a change-focused leadership culture.
Possess functional expertise in organization design, performance management, recruiting, change management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training, and leadership/management development including succession planning.
Have a “nose for talent,” and ability to recognize great talent and the potential of individuals. He/she will build and lead an efficient process for hiring, developing, and retaining great people across the organization.
Exceptional business acumen with highly developed influencing and communication skills, and the presence, experience, and bearing to effectively represent the company to a variety of stakeholders.
Demonstrate success working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and results-oriented environment.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
