The Software Developer will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary, agile team that is responsible for developing additive manufacturing simulation features, user interfaces, and supporting infrastructure for ANSYS additive products. These products are delivered via the cloud and desktop. The successful candidate will work with a small team of full stack developers to rapidly design, integrate, and extend state-of-the-art user focused features.
Develop, maintain, and improve object oriented data structures, algorithms, and modules in various microservices.
Enhance and extend the User Interface in both desktop and cloud environments using web development technologies.
Work on all parts of the application stack as a member of a full stack development team supporting Software as a Service (Saas) and desktop products.
Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support both desktop and cloud applications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with no commercial experience.
Strong analytical skills, ability to learn quickly, and strong attention to detail
Good written and oral communication/presentation skills.
Willingness to learn agile processes, strive for constant improvement, and work as a team
Experience with C# or Go desirable
Experience with unit testing
Experience with Git and/or Git flow desirable
Experience with Linux desirable
Knowledge of agile software development practices
Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
