Burr Forman McNair has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Runner in its Hilton Head office. This position performs all functions related to courier, postal, and office maintenance needs for the Beaufort County offices. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 am until 3:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares, moves and transports courier bags and boxes to and from the central location and distributes contents to local offices. Picks up mail and periodicals from the post office and distributes. Prepares/handles weighing and metering all office outgoing mail and packages and transports to post office. Maintains and operates the onsite postage meter. Prepares/receives deliveries to the office and routes accordingly.
Performs bank deposit runs. Responsible for maintaining the copiers with paper and toner. Prepares and maintains inventory of all office supplies, logs in deliveries, verifies package invoices, organizes and maintains supply rooms. Stocks and maintains inventory for vending machines, client refrigerator, and water coolers.
Moves office furniture, cabinets, equipment, computers, printers, telephones, and boxes and assembles modular furniture as needed. Responsible for office shredding and recycling.Installs/removes/inspects office facilities for repair and maintenance as requested to include changing lightbulbs, hanging pictures, minor plumbing, etc.
Sets up for office client and social events.
Qualified applicants must have a dependable vehicle, a current valid driver’s license, clean driving record and proof of liability coverage. The ability to read and write at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school or general education degree (GED) is required. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with tact and courtesy by email, telephone and in-person with attorneys, staff and clients and to work as part of a team are requirements of this position. Applicants must be able to move desks, filing cabinets, boxes, etc. in excess of thirty (30) pounds.
