Currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to fill an opening with a Hospital facility located around the College Station, Texas area. Interested candidates should have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, with a passion to work with both adult and pediatric patients. Interested candidate should have previous acute care OT experience OR outpatient experience and open to float, with a valid Texas OT license, or already have started the process of obtaining it. Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist
Primary role will be evaluating and treating adults with orthopedic and neurological deficits.
Secondary role will be evaluating and treating pediatric patients and understanding of authorization process for variety of insurances.
The Occupational Therapist facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.
Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
Mobility to work in a typical clinical environment, stamina to remain standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist
The Hospital facility is seeking at least one year of professional OT experience and a graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Active, or pending, Texas Occupational license
Full-time, Direct-hire Opportunity
