Position Description

The available position is specific to government contracts. We are searching for an audiovisual project onsite manager/lead technician. An active Top Secret clearance and previous government experience is a prerequisite. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in leading onsite installation teams and customer communication. Primary responsibilities will be coordination of project schedules, professional customer interface, and technical leadership for onsite audiovisual installation projects. Must have 5-10 years of experience as an AV technician to include fiber/copper cable runs and terminations, rack builds,technical site surveys, systems drawings, and thorough understanding of industry standards for government audiovisual/VTC builds. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting and maintaining equipment and systems for complex audiovisual and video teleconferencing solutions to meet government standards. Operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks will be required as needed. O&M tasks include maintaining, repairing, replacing equipment and systems for conference rooms, video conferencing suites, operation centers, auditoriums, and other larger scale venues. Experience with IT (non AV/VTC) support and networking fundamentals greatly preferred.

Equipment to be maintained will include (but may not be limited to): Crestron, AMX, Extron, Polycom, Cisco, Biamp, ClearOne, QSC, Shure, Planar, Cinemassive.

Duties include:

  • Onsite customer POC and coordinator for AV/VTC installations - Strong leadership experience and customer interface skills are a requirement
  • Technical team lead for installations to include scheduling, physical installation duties, cable runs, etc.
  • Proficient in MS office applications and creating detailed progress reports
  • Proficient in all fiber/copper cable runs and terminations, rack elevation plans, cable management
  • As needed, provide technical support, break/fix response, and maintenance solutions for AV/VTC equipment and systems of varying complexity
  • As needed, conduct testing and commissioning of AV systems that involve the preparation of punch list documents and follow up
  • Maintaining existing certifications and security clearance qualifications

  • Network+Priority (having one or more of these moves a candidate to the front of the line):
  • Crestron NVX Design
  • Crestron DMC-E-4K
  • Non-AV IT certs (Cisco, Microsoft, etc.)
  • Other AV/VTC certs (Biamp, ClearOne, Poly, Crestron, Extron, AVIXA, AMX, etc.)
