Medmen has an amazing opportunity for a Finance Manager, Operations to join our fast-growing company. This position will report to our VP Operations Finance. The Finance Manager drive process improvement and financial rigor across the operations organization. We are seeking a candidate who can elevate the team to improve process, proactively identify cost management opportunities and optimize our environment to ensure game changing data and analysis is available to operations and company leadership. Finally, candidates must be prepared to work in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Drives policies and procedures that monitor and support the organization’s operational and financial business objectives. Provides analysis and advice to management in the areas of operations, resource planning, operational expense management, IT project finance management, total company revenue forecasting, Operations annual budget planning and pricing. May work on special intercompany projects as needed. Manage at least three direct reports.
Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and functional peers at Corporate FP&A. May interact with senior management. Ability to collect, organize, model out data in presentable format in excel or ppt with story telling. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with upper management.
Develops and monitor annual budget plans and ongoing P&L forecasts including topline forecasts. Develops and monitor metrics to measure other key performance indicators and group performance. Performs market retail analytics to support Marketing and Retail partners. Creates pricing strategy and supports cost accounting (business modeling) for manufacturing projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; preferred major in Economics or Finance
6+ years of relevant management experience in corporate FP&A or other Operations Finance
Consumer Products and/or manufacturing experience a plus
Entrepreneurial background a plus
MBA certification a plus
Understanding of standard accounting and finance processes relating to corporate financial reporting
5+ years’ experience as a manager over a team in a related field
Thought leader, problem solver, and strong leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint, excellent excel modeling skills, and ability to create a story from raw data
Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience with C-level presentations and story telling
SaaS industry experience a plus
Must be willing to travel as needed to manufacturing facilities as needed (<15% time)
