We are looking for a bilingual MA with OB/GYN experience to joint our growing team. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vital signs, ordering lab test, obtaining patients history and entering into electronic medical record, assisting the physicians with routine exams and procedures such as IUD'S, Colpo's, EMB'S, LEEP'S and other tasks as deemed necessary.
Summary
The certified Medical Assistant perform the following essential functions: triage patients, review medications, anticipate provider needs, assist in procedures, task lab work and referrals, return patient calls, resolve patient issues, keep working areas sterilized and clean, maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with patients and office staff.
Education
- Successful completion of a certified medical assistant program.
- Completion of high school with courses in general science, biology, psychology and chemistry.
Required Certifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Other Knowledge/Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Medical Assistant is required . OB/GYN experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required .
- Computer literate. EMR knowledge is mandatory(eClinicalworks is a plus).
- Ability to travel between our Pearland/TMC offices required .
- Polished/Professional appearance required .
