Circonus is seeking a Marketing Manager to help manage the day-to-day marketing activities and long-term marketing strategy for the company. They’ll inform and execute upon our social and conference strategy, while simultaneously providing logistical support for our demand generation activities. We’re looking for a detail-oriented campaign manager with a strong eye for voice/tone and brand personality who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing.
Oversee Execution of our Conference Strategy
Build and maintain an inventory of applicable conferences, trade shows, and speaking calendar(s) for our chosen conferences
Promote staff conference participation by maintaining a CFP calendar and reminding staff of proposal due-dates
Secure and handle logistics for scheduled conference trade shows
Coordinate with our copywriters and designers to ensure booths, demos, and handouts are correctly prepared for our chosen conferences
Publicize our conference activities to prospects and past attendees through email and other online promotion
Coordinate with sales to invite relevant prospects to any extracurricular activities and social events
Plan and organize promotional giveaways for select conferences
Manage our Paid Demand-Generation Campaign
Develop advertising creatives through coordination with staff copywriters and designers
Coordinate with third-party vendors to execute paid campaigns and manage lead collection
Place campaigns on relevant advertising platforms, including adwords, facebook, reddit, twitter, linkedin, etc.
Track, analyze and report efficacy of campaigns
Oversee Creation and Execution of our Comprehensive Social Media Strategy
Identify relevant social media channels
Create a regular publishing schedule for relevant social media channels
Promote all content marketing and conference activities
Curate and promote company activities, relevant industry oriented news and activities to highlight Circonus as a thought leader for its target markets
Other Responsibilites
Support our email marketing strategy, including creating a monthly newsletter and creating email marketing campaigns
Take steps to measure, enhance, and enrich brand awareness through various goals and objectives
Assist in analyzing market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
Ensure content provides clear benefits to the target audience, conveys the Circonus brand voice and personality, and meets high quality standards
5+ years’ marketing experience, B2B and technology/software marketing experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field
Experience owning and managing marketing strategies; specifically, social media, conference schedules, and lead generation campaigns
Content marketing expertise, including development and distribution via social media channels such as Reddit, Facebook and Twitter
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
Organized with an eye for detail
Self-motivated, independent, quick learner
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
Nice To Have
Digital advertising expertise, including direct advertising via Google AdWords, Reddit Ads and/or Facebook Ads Manager
Familiarity with tools we use, such as WordPress, Jira, Buffer
Experience with monitoring and/or analytics solutions
