We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Writer.

This position will be responsible for managing activities, conducting analysis, and creating meaningful reports within CEDIA's emerging trends projects and will have the following responsibilities:

Research various aspects of the residential electronic systems industry for information to be used in presentations and white papers.
Write and maintain white papers, recommended practices, standards and blogs in collaboration with CEDIA volunteers, staff, and subject matter experts.
Organize and attend volunteer and department project meetings and conference calls. Complete meeting minutes and action items for meetings.
Review content and curriculum and compare it to existing standards, white papers, and research reports to ensure continuity and accuracy of information.
Track and report on white paper, standards, and research report access metrics.
Determine appropriate research design and develop timelines to ensure objectives are met.
Create, program, maintain, and test data collection instruments. This includes working with internal departments to develop meaningful questionnaires and ensuring the necessary data is captured in the correct format as efficiently as possible.
Create well-designed visual data representations, including: charts, graphs, and infographics.
Provide regular updates, summaries, and presentations of internal and external research to organization stakeholders in the form of research reports, white papers, articles, blog posts, and formal presentations.
Create, maintain, and support research databases.
Assist with the management of focus groups and conduct in-depth interviews, including: recruiting, scheduling, development of interviewer/moderator guides, and analysis of findings.
Maintain strong knowledge of the consumer electronics industry through industry news sources and examining existing industry data.
Stay abreast of new research techniques and technologies to maintain efficiencies.
