Title: Marketing Photographer
Department/Location: Central Marketing Department; St. Louis, MO
Position Type: Full-time, 12-month.
Organizational Relationship: Reports to Visual Media Director
Summary
Principia is looking for a School Marketing Photographer. In this role, you will work as a key member of the Central Marketing team to produce compelling and impactful photography that captures the spirit of Principia students and educators in action, illustrating the Principia story through a lens of visual authenticity.

Primary Responsibilities

Plans, captures, edits, and catalogs photography depicting authentic and inspiring representations of the School and College campuses for marketing, communications, public relations, and advancement needs

Collaborates with Visual Media Director and the rest of creative team to meet organizational needs and goals

Assists in the management of student photographers, as needed

Builds and maintains relationships with representatives of various departments to facilitate photography planning and execution

Manages Principia’s library of photos using digital asset management tools

Travels between the School and College campuses as needed; after-hours and weekend work required and frequent

Advanced experience with staging equipment (strobe lighting, reflectors, backdrops, etc.)

Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and think creatively in unpredictable scenarios

Practiced ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, managers, subjects, and support personnel

Detailed understanding of marketing and communication methods preferred
