Big Tree Little Preschool is a small preschool located in PUUF (Palomar Unitarian Universalist Fellowship) in Vista. We offer a warm and stimulating environment to our children and staff with a focus on nature. We are located on a beautiful property where we take frequent nature hikes, visit the butterfly garden, and have sensory and art activities in our outdoor classroom. We are currently hiring a part time teacher for our morning and afternoon TK and preschool programs. We are looking for a phenomenal team player to join our amazing staff who are dependable, responsible, energetic, adaptable, and creative. Candidates must be willing to teach a Pre K curriculum to small groups of children outdoors and in our outdoor classrooms.
We are looking for a fully qualified preschool teacher (12 required ECE units are needed) who is confident and able to run a classroom while working as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements:
-Experience working with young children
-12 ECE units-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
-Pass a background check
-Positive attitude
-Interest in Forest School programming and enthusiasm for outdoor nature preschool!
Preferred Requirements:
-Experience as a teacher or aide in a preschool or other school setting
-BA/BS degree
-CPR/First Aid certified.
