Equity Research Senior Analyst - Managed Care & Facilities
In this position you will provide primary equity research coverage of the Managed Care & Facilities sectors. Primary responsibilities include both managing and conducting the fundamental equity research process for the purpose of providing differentiated industry and stock-specific content, including building and maintaining financial estimates and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base. Critical to the role will be communicating research findings to both internal stakeholders and our external client base via consistent dialogue and live meetings. The Senior Analyst will need to build strong relationships not only with Equity Research colleagues, but also with Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others.
Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
10+ years of capital markets industry research experience
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles: in the capital markets industry
Knowledge and understanding of Investment tools such as Bloomberg or Factset application
Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
FINRA Registration for FINRA Series 86 & 87 must be completed within 90 days of hire date
Direct healthcare research and or industry experience
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
