This position assists the Marketing Communications lead in supporting campaign execution and messaging for the Infrastructure division of Kennametal Inc.
This hands-on role will interact with market portfolio managers to support key business priorities, while integrating digital channel support. The successful candidate will be organized, comfortable managing multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to tackle additional tasks as needed.
You will be part of a small talented Strategic Marketing & Operational Excellence team that works on impactful projects essential to Kennametal’s success. As a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to become involved in projects that shape the direction of the division.
Writing – Contribute to blog content, social media posts, and other marketing deliverables
Project Management – Manage day-to-day responsibilities to ensure projects are completed on time
Event Coordination – main contact for trade show coordination, with emphasis on planning and logistics
Digital support – Assist with digital channel communications and campaign execution (i.e., email blasts, Google Ad Words). Acquire working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager to complete basic front-end web tasks
Financial – Assist with invoice processing, vendor communications, and budget management
In tandem with MarCom Lead, maintain global marketing calendar
Coordinate collateral updates and edits, proofread outgoing materials
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, with the opportunity to grow into more
Microsoft suite, database management tools
Project Management, managing multiple projects with deadlines
Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Communicate effectively, both oral and written. Copy writing ability expected.
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a global team environment, and ability to work as needed to accommodate global time zones
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Proactively assess business needs and recommend solutions
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
Comfortable with writing
Bonus: Basic layout & design skills for marketing materials
