The Mechanical Engineer (level 6-7) is responsible for implementing basic mechanical engineering technologies and using the design tools and executing engineering designs for assigned proposals & projects. Candidates for this position are expected to have 5+ years engineering experience in a design role. Preferred candidates will have industrial plant or system design experience and be familiar with typical industrial mechanical equipment, including rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and steaming systems. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, leadership, multi-tasking, and planning skills.

Key Responsibilities

Perform broader design engineering activities involving the design of vessels, equipment, systems, components, structures, etc.

Mechanical engineering design of steam and chemical process equipment and systems.

Gather and organize information to be used for developing the design, specifications, and drawings of mechanical equipment.

Development of piping and instrumentation drawings.

Perform technical evaluations of bids and recommendation for purchase, for any equipment or vessel type.

Lead mechanical engineer capability on all projects

Unassisted review of engineering design documents and vendor data.

Attend appropriate technical conferences and/or training as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Key Knowledge Skills and Abilities

4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience.

PE preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Strong organization skills.

Flexibility and interest in some international travel.

Demonstration of working well within a team atmosphere is required
