Assists in the construction, repair and maintenance of County rights-of-way, roads, bridges, drainage systems, facilities and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Gathers tools and supplies, as directed, to be used at work site.
Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as culverts, fence posts, bridging timbers, sandbags, etc.
Assists in the cutting and clearing of grass, weeds, brush and trees on County Rights-of-way.
Directs traffic in work zones for work crews and equipment.
Maintains assigned tools and equipment and keeps assigned supplies and parts in order.
Responsible for the serviceability, cleanliness and appropriate use of any personal protective equipment required to carry out normal assigned tasks.
Attendance as scheduled at place of duty.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid state of Florida Drivers License. Work Zone Traffic Control Safety Certification desirable.
