OTO Development was established in 2004 by a group of experienced hotel entrepreneurs with long histories of success in rapid growth organizations. On many days, you will:
  • Initiate and follow up on leads for your market segment
  • Make sales calls, visit customer locations and make on-the-spot presentations
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Sales and/or the Sales Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the entire hotel team to make sure all sales efforts are coordinated and complementary
  • Provide comprehensive action plans for your week, month and quarter but know when to try something that is out-of-the-box
  • Work with our business software including SalesPro, MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Core Responsibilities Include:
Acts as primary sales professional for one or more market segments identified as revenue generators for the property
Proactively identifies, qualifies, and solicits business through account penetration and market saturation
Works collaboratively with other members of the hotel team to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, and complementary
Identifies, qualifies and maintains lead sources and active accounts through telephone contact, site tours, and inside appointments
Responsible for execution of action plan outlining planned sales activities for the week, month, and quarter for the assigned market segment(s.)
Use available tools to understand competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and knows how to sell against them to targeted market segments
Creates detailed customer account records, correspondence, sales agreements, proposals, and thank you letters for own accounts or in support of other sales professionals
Travels to customer locations on sales calls. May be required to travel to location, transport materials and make presentations on short notice
Meet or exceed set goals: activity, productivity (revenue consumption) and booking goals as defined in the goals workbook
Initiate and follow up on all leads for respective market segment/territory through the brand, management company and other third party resources
Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program
Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the trace system in the sales automation system
Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner
Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the hotel
Works with internal departments regarding customer needs
Establish and maintain client relationships by meeting and greeting onsite contacts
