We are searching for an Intern - Manufacturing Engineer for our Power Distribution - Anaheim location.

Reporting to the Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering, this role will perform a variety of manufacturing engineering work in operational method sheets, detailed work instructions, tooling and fixture design and other manufacturing operations support under general supervision.

Responsibilities:
Support Manufacturing operations to maintain highest level of productivity and quality possible.
Plan, develop and facilitate the implementation of processes and procedures required to assemble electro/mechanical sub assemblies, assemblies, and systems to reduce cost, improve Quality and schedule.
Coordinate with Sustaining Engineering, Quality and manufacturing to resolve production problems to meet the production schedule.
Develop, maintain and input routers into MTO database for new and existing products.
Develop and maintain operational method sheets for new and existing products.
Support manufacturing engineering in developing new and maintaining existing tooling and fixture design.
Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and 5S in the assigned team area.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering (minimum 3rd year in college). Previous internship experience is preferred.

Basic understanding of engineering documents such as drawings, bill or material, wire list and schematic.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and adaptability to all the challenges that arise on the production floor.

Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
