St. Luke’s Health System in McCall, Idaho is seeking a Part Time (0.8 FTE) Lead Employee Health Nurse to join our Employee Health team.
The Employee Health Nurse - Lead applies advanced knowledge, specialized expertise and experience in the promotion and delivery of quality nursing care to workers and worker populations and takes the lead on advancing the total worker health model at their assigned facility.
Assesses occupational, environmental, and personal health history and applies knowledge of work processes and hazards/exposures for accurate clinical decision making for pre-placement, fitness for duty, and return to work decisions.
Recognizes, educates, and advises workers on identifying, reducing and eliminating health and safety risks in the work environment and addresses any potentially unsafe equipment or procedures.
Conducts assessment of work and non-work related injuries/illnesses and provides appropriate treatment and referral.
Assesses immunization status and administers immunizations to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
Provides education about preventing exposure to communicable diseases as well as post-exposure evaluation and surveillance for employees exposed to potentially infectious diseases.
Facilitates, investigates, and provides necessary follow-up for the drug screening process.
Evaluates information and data to continually assess current state and engages with key stakeholders to problem solve and effectively manage change for optimal employee health, safety, and well-being.
Promotes a culture of health by educating and administering respirator fit testing, tuberculosis testing, ergonomics evaluations, safety walk-rounds, know your numbers and other screenings that support employee health, safety, and well-being programs.
Participates in committees and process improvements to represent Employee Health subject matter expertise as well as develops and presents Employee Health, Safety and well-being data to leadership.
Provides subject matter expertise and acts as a resource for other employee health staff.
Supports all Employee Health Manager functions for the region including complex situation management, staffing schedules, fiscal awareness and budgeting, ordering and supply par levels as well as provides input for hiring, performance evaluations, and corrective action decisions.

Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
3 years nursing experience
Current RN licensure in State of Practice
Previous experience in Employee or Occupational, vaccinations, clinic operations, and infection disease
