Empowerment Life Services, group homes are looking for people who are desiring opportunities to help with physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of girls in the foster system. Position includes redirecting, nurturing and supervising female girls ages 6-17 years old in Mesa, AZ in a group home setting. This position is in need of a high-energy person looking to work with struggling youth and take on a parental/mentor role in their lives. The primary task is to supervise 8 girls in a home setting including positive interaction, chore delegating, medications, meal preparation, transporting to appointments, helping with homework, active participation in recreational activities and housekeeping chores. This role will need to have extremely tough skin but nurturing at the same time.
-21+ years of age
-High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalency degree and two years of experience in working with children in a similar capacity; or one year post-high school education in a program leading to a degree in the field of child welfare or human services
-CPR/First Aid Certified
-Fingerprint Clearance Card
-Will need TB test -Demonstrate healthy boundaries, values and role modeling
-Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
-Valid drivers license, NO DUI, minimal offenses
