Join our team! We have an excellent full-time opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant at a fast-paced specialist physician practice. This position will primarily be working at our South Austin location.

Our practice features state-of-the-art care for ear, nose, and throat problems, hearing loss, environmental allergies, sinus, and head and neck surgery. We offer a variety of highly specialized procedures that utilize the latest medical technology.
About the position:
As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside our physicians and physician assistants to help deliver exceptional patient care.
This is a regular full-time hourly position with competitive compensation and benefits. This position is performance bonus eligible!
Responsibilities:
- Room patients, take vitals, obtain patient intake-related information
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care delivery, such as administering injections, sending prescriptions and lab orders, performing CLIA-waived lab testing, and other routine medical office tasks, as directed
- Disinfect examination rooms, restock them, and prepare them for reuse
- Sterilize instruments using an autoclave
- Schedule patient appointments
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
What you will need:
Experience:
- At least two years of experience as a Medical Assistant at a physician's practice is required
- Experience at a specialist physician practice is highly preferred
- Experience assisting with minor in-office procedures preferred
- At least two years of experience using an EMR is highly preferred
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, coworkers, and the public
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to operate and multi-task in a high-paced, dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to the needs of the organization and employees
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficient in general computer (PC) and website use
